Public Protection Classification



A PPC rating is a designation given by the Insurance Services Office that ranks a communities fire protection capability. Ratings are given on a one to ten scale were one represents "exemplary fire protection" and ten "does not meet ISO's minimum criteria".


This rating is based on the following decisive factors:

- The communities fire alarm and communication systems.
- The communities Fire Department first alarm response and available equipment.
- The communities water supply systems and its condition.
